When I think of all the things that have happened to me this year, something that constantly brings a smile to my face is having the friends that I have.
I have two main groups of friends, one more recent and the other I do life with.
The group of friends that I do life with is filled with very different, different people (you guys are amazing and make me question life all the time, it truly is hilarious). We have come together from very different walks of life but just seem to do life well together. We have coffee dates A LOT. In fact, most of our regular spots know our orders -today I threw him off by ordering something different. We also have a Wednesday night ‘small group’ where we just take the time to really engage in our faith and talk about where we are at in life. We take this time to pray for each other too which is so important!
I think this was one of my first times hanging out with my friends. Also the first time going to Ballito
With that being said, we have a group on Whatsapp where we constantly talk, roast each other and have it as a base to live life together. I have never really had a group of friends quite like this and I really think it came at such an important time in my life which I am very thankful for.
These friends are my biggest supporters and they have really been such rocks in my life this year.
Shout out to Sav for being a shmodel whenever I needed her.
The second group of friends are from a church I recently joined. They are amazing people and they too have come from very different places and are going in such vast directions it amazes me that we are all able to come together and hang out.
They are new friends but they have really taken me under their wing and engaged with me in so many different aspects, making me feel so included in the best way. They have also opened me up to so many different things which is amazing!
I have also made some amazing friends outside these two groups whom are just as amazing and I love just as much! You guys are just as important to me (I am looking at you Kim and Camilla 😉 )
Growing up, I didn’t really have a supportive friend group like this. I was always a bit of a loner so having so many friends now that support me and love me for me and not for what I can do or what I can give them is really something great and I am really just so happy about it.
So here’s to my friends and if you read this, I love you and that you for the most amazing support.
