Lets be honest, after presents, the food is the best part of Christmas. Depending on where you are, you eat different foods and have different traditions.
I have never been big on meat and my mom always went ALL out with meat! I’m not even kidding, she would make about 5 or 6 different types of meat! It was absolutely crazy! With that being said, I love sweet and sour chicken. It is still, to this day my favourite meat dish.
That left me with most of the veggies lol.
Some of my favourite veggie dishes are country mix veg (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and green beans) in cheese sauce; roasted potatoes as well as pepper carrots (mashed carrots with a CRAP ton of pepper)
Desserts are something that you sneakily eat days after Christmas because they are incredible and you don’t always get to eat the dessert until Christmas again. Some of my favs are peppermint crisp tart which is made with a chocolate called peppermint crisp. I also love a Malva pudding. Both desserts are actually very South African and I love both of them!
Being raised in South Africa, we mostly just ate salads and something cold because it is the middle of Summer in December!
Let me know what you typically eat that you love!
