2017 Year in Review

Life / Monday, January 1st, 2018

2017 was an interesting year. I started and completed my makeup and hairstyling course which is something i REALLY wanted to do. I moved into my own place in January after spending 3 months in and out of my suitcases which was a welcomed relief. I managed multiple jobs to pay for everything and hustled hard.

There were so many ups and downs but I think it was a relatively good year. I learned that some friends care about you more than your family. That family doesn’t mean blood, but relationships. I learnt that I can’t rely on people and if I want shit done, I have to do it myself.

I got thrown into a job I didn’t know I would like, but I really love now.

I got blessed beyond that I could comprehend and am so ever grateful for it.

I became a coffee snob and learnt to appreciate the 20 min coffee dates with friends who were so busy but always made time for me.

I lived out my dream by moving to Europe and really just loving life. Being able to travel throughout Europe is amazing. I’m currently on the bus to Germany to see a friend. I didn’t think I would ever be given this opportunity and yet, here I am, living my best life!

2018 is going to be filled with only positive things! I’m going to put myself first. I’m going to learn that I am allowed to own pretty things and that I shouldn’t always put others before myself.

I’m going to achieve things I didn’t think I would be able to do and above all else, I’m going to keep smiling, keep doing me and just try and be happy!
