If you wondering where I have been and if I am okay. I’m good BUT I have been insanely busy with life; with work and with everything else in between. I honestly don’t know where March went, and how it’s going to be the middle of April in a couple days. This is not why you are here though. You want to know about the Sephora Play! bag and what I got in it.
It has now been three months since I have been getting it and I am honestly just so happy with it. I am happy that I only pay $10 and get all the products I have gotten. Some of the products are incredible and some are okay, but I have never gotten something I have not liked at all which is fantastic. I can also say that they do focus on skincare more and I personally appreciate that a lot because I am trying to be more good at my skincare routine and let’s be honest, I have too much (not really) makeup.
This is what I got in March’s Box.
1.Sephora Collection Lash Craft Big (NOT Cruelty Free) – I really like this mascara. I use it in conjunction with my Essence mascara that I absolutely adore as well. It is more of a wet formula so if you don’t like that type then you should probably stay away from it. It does not flake or smudge as the day progresses which I really appreciate.
2. Make Up Forever Ultra HD Invisible Foundation (NOT Cruelty Free) – This foundation is a cult favourite amoungest many beauty gurus and beauty lovers alike. It holds true to that statement. It’s a great finish, lasts all day. I would say it is a medium to full coverage if you build it up and it can also appear cakey if you are not careful which is a downside to it but I really have been enjoying it and they shade matched me perfectly.
3. Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen Broad (CRUELTY FREE)- I have not tried this yet but it looks cute and it has really good reviews so I hope it lives up to that standard when I do try it eventually.
4.Dr Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass (NOT CRUELTY FREE)- This is a colour correcting treatment that I have fallen in love with. It’s a green colour in the pot and changes to a beige colour on your skin to help combat redness which I have a ton of. I really like this and would want to pick it up when I run out of the sample but it is not cruelty free which is an issue. It also has SPF which is great especially during summer. I have used this under makeup and by itself and have enjoyed it both ways.
5. Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo (CRUELTY FREE)- This is a good dry shampoo. It’s not amazing but it’s not bad. It helps with volume and does not leave a white cast on your head which is always appreciated.
6. Maison Margiela “Replica By The Fireplace (NOT CRUELTY FREE)- This is a nice perfume and I already used up the sample. I am awful at describing perfume so this is what it says on their website: “A new day breaks. Outside, snow falls on a frosty landscape. In side, the flames of a comforting fire crackle in the hearth. This feminine and masculine scent is evocative of a morning gathered around a fire, as frosted top notes contrast against chestnut and woodsy accords.”
So this month four of the six products are NOT cruelty free this month so that is not a good thing, but over all I am very happy with the box this month. Have you been getting the Sephora Play! Box? Let me know what you think about it.
